Government, Country, and People

RA supports a debate to clarify the role of the Government. British law clearly states that the Head of State, HM Queen, appoints a Prime MInister who then appoints a cabinet which officially becomes HM Government. Ministers in the United Kingdom are not elected.

RA policy requires that the role of the Government be clarified and also the role of the Head of State. This would be done by an referendum.

RA generally supports a smaller Government which is run more effectively in a low tax economy. Most matters would be handled locally but the role of the Head of State would be absolute to stop local abuses of power.

RA opposes the Government's powers to intrude into people's lives.
